Emma Claire Nicolosi is 13 and second of four girls in her family. She has a love to serve and help others as well as live out her faith to spread Christ’s message.
At birth, Emma's parents learned that she had an Atrial Septal Defect to her heart (ASD). Thankfully her ASD did not cause any difficulties to her growth and development but due to the hole in her heart not healing naturally, she underwent open heart surgery at 2 ½ years old. Emma currently has regular visit to the cardiologist for monitoring.
Emma loves to dance, sing, be with friends and family, crafts, and the theater. She has been dancing since she was 5 years old. As for musical theater, her first show was “Annie” at 9 and has continued to grow in her love of theater.
From a young age, Emma showed her love of others. Emma's family believes it is important to give to their community and help those in need. Emma helps at Seven Bridges ministry by taking items needed as well as food to the less fortunate near downtown Atlanta. On her 5th birthday, she asked for donations for the Children’s hospital where she had her surgery. Over the last several years, she has enjoyed serving the less fortunate (Meals by Grace, Shrine Homeless meals, blessing in a backpack, sandwiches for the homeless, Blessing bags), children with disabilities (challenger baseball, E’s club), singing/visiting at nursing homes, donating her hair to “Wigs for Kids”, and making blankets for Children’s Healthcare. On her recent birthday, she asked for her friends to donate to a close friends Mission Trip to Haiti this summer in lieu of gifts to her.
Ironically, Emma was born with a hole in her heart; yet she has a huge heart for helping and giving back to others.
Ruth & Naomi is proud to partner with Emma as our Girl of the Season for April, May and June! Emma truly exemplifies our motto of "Be Kind, Be Humble, and BeYOUtiful!"
A portion of our proceeds from these three months will be given to the Sibley Heart Center for Cardiology at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA).
